How do you get tree sap out of a fleece jacket ?

Preferably without damaging the jacket or causing discoloration. It's in there pretty good.

  1. Try a solvent based water miscable wash, like paint brush cleaner. Thin down the sap then wash out with warm soapy water.
  2. fleece as in sheepskin?? or fake fur fleece? For either one I would take it to drycleaners and tell them the sap is there and put a large safety pin on all the spots. They can get it out without damaging your jacket. You could rub something like crisco or peanut butter into the fleece and maybe it would dissolve the sap. then wash the jacket according to instructions.
  3. Have you tried Pinesol, or I would try first Goo Gone, its the best and I use it for all kinds of messed, takes paint right off my hands when I paint with oil based paints and has a nice orange smell and wont hurt your fabric.
  4. You could try something with alcohol in it, as hand sanitizer has a pretty decent amount of alcohol in it and can get sap off your hands and sometimes off animals.
  5. I have got tree sap off my carseat using GOO-GONE. You can buy it almost anywhere. Keep it around the house and you can use it for alot of things. It will not hurt your fleece jacket.
