How do you wash a waterproof jacket?

I'm just curios will it wash the same?

1. The washer??
2. you can just wipe it
3. The collar label on the jacket will/should tell you how to wash it but if it doesn't, try a dry cleaners they often do them.
4. In water only with detergent. Other softeners &chemicals may spoil the jacket
5. handwash with woolite in luke warm rinse well hang dry
6. Wash it as you normally would. The "waterproofing" chemicals shouldn't be affected. Just to be safe, reading the label on the jacket for cleaning instructions.
7. actually my husband is avid hunter with waterproof clothing, i wash them in sports wash or hunters specialties laundry soap, pop them in the dryer to restore loft, and hang them outside to prevent household odors from clean fabric, store them in plastic bags expressly made for hunting clothes
8. I'd put it in the laundry but keep it out of the dryer.
